Two days after increasing Hillenbrand Stadiums fan capacity for the postseason from 30 percent to 50 percent, the University of Arizona is taking it one big step further.
The school announced Wednesday that it is increasing to 100 percent capacity for the Tucson Regional, which begins Friday and runs through Sunday. It’s the first time since the onset of the pandemic that a UA event will not be limited in capacity.
The Arizona softball team, the No. 11 overall seed, is set to welcome Ole Miss, Villanova and UMBC with the winner advancing to Super Regionals next weekend.
