The Arizona men's basketball team will begin their road to the Final Four in Boise, Idaho with a first round match up with the University of Buffalo out of the Mid-American Conference. The Wildcats were pitted in the South Region and face a possible matchup with the Kentucky Wildcats should they beat the Bulls.
The March Madness bracket, released on Sunday, had the No. 1 seeds as Xavier, Virginia, Villanova and Kansas. Virginia is the No. 1 seed in the South and could be a potential Sweet Sixteen opponent should Arizona make it that far. The south features three power five conference tournament champions in the upper half of the bracket, Arizona (Pac-12), Kentucky (SEC) and Virginia (ACC).
