There aren’t many Arizona Wildcats active in the NFL to begin with, but that number has dwindled the past two days.
Former UA defensive lineman Earl Mitchell announced his retirement Thursday, and Friday his former college teammate Brooks Reed was placed on injured reserve by the Arizona Cardinals, possibly ending his season.
The defensive end recently suffered a hamstring injury.
We have promoted CB Chris Jones and LB Pete Robertson to the active roster from our practice squad, and placed LB Brooks Reed on injured reserve.
