Arizona Basketball alum Channing Frye retiring with tributes from Love and Kerr

Channing Frye is the 36th player in NBA history to record 4,000 rebounds and 1,000 three-pointers. The 7-foot 255-pound forward has played in the NBA for 15 seasons for six different teams including the Cavs, Trailblazers, Suns, Lakers, and Magic. A once high school star from Phoenix, the former Wildcat played all four years at Arizona for Head Coach Lute Olson averaging 13.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.

In pure Channing fashion, he quipped when announcing his retirement, “I’m rich, I’m a champion, I’m 35 and retiring and I’m living a great life.
