Winners of 13 of their last 16 games, the Arizona Baseball team entered Friday’s game with a lot of momentum and a lot of confidence. That is until they met conference foe, the No. 2 Stanford Cardinal.

In front of 4,000-plus fans at Hi-Corbett Field in Tucson, the Wildcats took to the diamond, hoping to steal game one, with Junior pitcher Cody Deason was on the mound.

Early on, Arizona put the pressure on the Cardinal, bringing in a run in the first inning. With one out, sophomore Cameron Cannon would reach base on a fielding error.
