On a day when Arizona baseball lost two of its best hitters to the transfer portal, another decided to stay put in Tucson.
All-American catcher Daniel Susac announced on Twitter that he will remain at Arizona.
“Nowhere else I’d rather be, let’s run it back,” he wrote accompanied by a picture of him in a Wildcats uniform.
The 6-foot-4 Roseville, Calif. native was the 2021 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and made several All-American teams. He batted .335 with 12 home runs, 24 doubles and 65 RBI. The 24 doubles are a UA freshman record.
