3-star Louisiana defensive end Ja’Marian Peterson commits to Arizona

The Arizona Wildcats continue to mine the state of Louisiana, landing three-star defensive end Ja’Marian Peterson on Sunday, their third commitment from The Boot.

The 6-foot-4, 238 pound New Orleans native held 31 offers overall. He picked Arizona over Colorado, Washington State, Illinois, Indiana, Boston College, Purdue, Memphis, UCF, Hawaii, New Mexico, and others.

Peterson plays for De La Salle High School in New Orleans and joins his teammate Montrell Johnson Jr, a three-star running back, in pledging to the Cats. Arizona has commitments from two other Louisiana prospects in three-star linebacker Kolbe Cage and three-star wide receiver Tyrese Johnson.
