Fayetteville, Ark. -- Redshirt-sophomore placekicker Cristian Zendejas was named one of a record 83 players nominated for the 2019 Burlsworth Trophy.
Now in its tenth year, the Trophy is named in honor of Brandon Burlsworth, former University of Arkansas Walk-On and All-American offensive lineman, and is given annually to the most outstanding football player who began his career as a Walk-On and has shown outstanding performance on the field.
Zendejas, a local player out of Chandler, Ariz., has stepped up to take over kicking duties for the Sun Devils at the start of the 2019 season.
