TEMPE – Sun Devil track and field returned to outdoor competition Wednesday at the Grand Canyon University Invitational in Phoenix, Arizona. ASU celebrated seven first-place finishes and four personal-best marks.
Fresh off of setting a meet record and personal record in Texas, Turner Washington took his talents outdoors, setting another personal best mark in the shot put crosstown and coming just shy of the program record. Washington set the bar high for his competition by throwing a 19.91m shot put in his first attempt. He unleashed a new personal best in his third attempt of 21.
