The redshirt junior from Tucson earned Pac-12 Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors this week for his record-breaking performance Saturday at Arizona's Jim Click Shootout where he went 64.57m/211' 10" in the discus to one-up his program-record by over a foot. Washington now leads the country by six feet in the discus and also has the best outdoor shot put mark by three feet-six inches.
Washington's throw came on his third attempt of the day and landed 18 feet further than Washington's Elijah Mason's platter (59.
