Weather has caused some delays and messed up the schedule, but three of the six Sun Devils who qualified for the 2021 U.S. Amateur moved onto the Round of 64 at Oakmont Country Club near Pittsburgh.
Ryggs Johnston and Cameron Sisk are Sun Devil returners in the field who have advanced, while Preston Summerhays is an incoming freshman. They were part of the original 312-player field that played 18 holes on both Monday and Tuesday...and then parts of Wednesday due to a delay on Tuesday.
Match play continues with 18 hole matches each day until the final on Sunday that is 36 holes.
