TEMPE, Ariz. – The two-time reigning national champion Sun Devil triathlon team will open the season in a unique way in 2018, participating in the 9/11 Heroes Run in their own backyard near Tempe Town Lake, which will also once again serve as the host site for the USA Triathlon Collegiate Women's National Championship this fall.
The 5K Heroes Run, which will take place Saturday, Sept. 1 at 7:30 am PT, will serve as a countable competition for ASU despite only featuring a run portion. The run is one of many similar events that take place across the world on or near Sept.
