The fourth-ranked Arizona State men's golf team came out swinging the sticks at a high level and leads the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic by 10 strokes after two rounds.
With four players tied for fifth at 2-under, including Sun Devil Blake Wagoner, ASU has its players in second (Mason Andersen at 6-under), third (Chun An Yu at 4-under) and fourth (Alex del Rey at 3-under).
"It was a cold rainy day and we finished in nearly pitch black darkness. It was one of those days when it's so easy to let fatigue get the best of you and loosely give up strokes, but our guys are gamers and they just kept going," said third-year Sun Devil head coach Matt Thurmond.
