Arizona State freshman Ashley Menne wasn't quite sure what to expect when she took to the Grayhawk Club for the third round of the NCAA championships. She got little sleep, chalking that up to what she thought was food poisoning.
Head coach Missy Farr-Kaye thought it might be stomach bug, which had permeated its way through the team.
Either way, Menne hardly felt in peak form but that didn't show when she hit the course. The local product out of Xavier Prep carded a career-low 7-under 65, propelling the Sun Devils from 11th to sixth place after three rounds of play.
