LUBBOCK, Texas – The Sun Devils kicked off the Texas Tech Invitational strong Friday, with numerous athletes setting personal bests on the first day of competition in Lubbock, Texas. ASU celebrated four top-three finishes.

Katie Eidem kicked things off with an eighth-place finish in the third pentathlon of her career. She scored 3696 points in the event, improving her personal best by 173 points and inching her way closer to Samantha Henderson for third in the ASU indoor record books.
