TEMPE, Ariz.— The Arizona State beach volleyball team (8-8) completed two of its four dual matches in the Stanford Tournament on Saturday, edging past Oregon, 3-2, before falling to the host Cardinal, 3-2, at the Stanford Sand Volleyball Stadium.
Juniors Bianca Arellano and Whitney Follette swept in both sets on Friday against Oregon, as well on Saturday against Stanford. Follette earned her 30th and 31st career victories, making her the first Sun Devil to surpass the 30-win mark.
Sophomore Frances Giedraitis and senior Logan Rae also swept both sets against Oregon and Stanford.
