Sun Devil Baseball Season Comes to an End in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE– The 2019 Sun Devil Baseball season came to an end Sunday with a 13-12 loss at the Baton Rouge Regional of the NCAA Baseball Tournament.

For the second consecutive game and 20thtime this season, the Sun Devil bats reached double digits in the run category. ASU recorded 14 hits and scored in four of the first five innings before the bats chilled over the final three innings. The top half of the ASU order was elite, combining for 11 hits and all 10 RBIs.

Spencer Torkelson led the way with a 3-for-5 day with three RBIs and his 23rdhome run of the season while coming a triple shy of the cycle.
