TEMPE – Arizona State University recorded a multiyear Academic Progress Rate (APR) average of 992 over a four-year period (2020-21 to 2023-24), as announced by the NCAA on Tuesday. That number is the second highest in the Big 12 Conference. Since the 2015-16 academic year, ASU has averaged a 990-plus for each multiyear APR cohort and has been in the top two in conference rankings.
Leading the Big 12, nine Sun Devil teams earned APR Public Recognition Awards by placing in the top-10 percent of their sport for multiyear APR: beach volleyball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, gymnastics, men's swimming and diving, softball and volleyball.
