Cohlton Schultz and Zahid Valencia make USA Wrestling National Team
Current Sun Devil wrestler Cohlton Schultz and alumni Zahid Valencia earned spots on the 2021 USA Wrestling National Team following results at the Olympic Trials.
Schultz, an All-American, earned second place in the 130kg Greco-Roman bracket. He won his first two matches by decision to reach the finals. Schultz ultimately fell to Adam Coon
Valencia had a bit more work to do. The former national champion had to battle through the loser’s side of the bracket to earn his spot. After losing to Bo Nickal in the semifinals on Friday, Valencia bear Nathan Jackson and Pat Downey to place third.
