ARLINGTON - Sun Devil Baseball took No. 5 TCU to the brink but fell just shy in an 11-9 defeat in the second game of the Kubota Baseball Series at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas on Saturday.
After falling in an early 5-0 hole, the ASU bats finally came alive after struggling for the first 14 innings of its first road trip of the season and erupted for six runs in the seventh to take a 7–5 lead. Unfortunately the Sun Devils (5-5) would give all six of those runs back to the Horned Frogs (11-0) in the top of the eighth inning.
