The Sun Devils started preparation for the Sept. 3 season opener against Northern Arizona on Monday with their first of 15 spring practices. The damp Kajikawa practice fields forced the Sun Devils inside the Verde Dicky Dome.
Practice ran for two hours, about 15 minutes longer than expected.

"Putting in a new offense and a new defense. Interesting when that occurs you can see smoke coming out of people's helmets. It's kind of fun to watch. I think all the guys are excited about that. Change is part of life. You hate for it to happen, but it happens.
