ASU WBB coach Charli Turner Thorne on Phoenix Women’s Final Four bid Arizona Republic
Phoenix is among four finalists to host either the 2025 or 2026 NCAA Women's Basketball Final Four.
The Phoenix Suns/Mercury and Arizona State along with local tourism groups are bidding to host the event at the Talking Stick Resort Arena.
The Phoenix City Council recently approved the bid application.
Other finalist cities named Monday are Columbus, Ohio (Nationwide Arena), Portland, Ore. (Moda Center) and Tampa, Fla. (Amalie Arena).
“The number and quality of potential host cities for the Women’s Final Four continues to grow,” said Diane Turnham, Division I women's basketball committee chair.
