Organizers for Pat's Run have decided to make the event a virtual one, meaning participants will run their 4.2 individually, wherever they are.
The run 2020 run had been set to take place April 18 in Tempe.
The announcement was made on twitter.
A full field had been expected to participate in the 16th annual event, which sold out Feb. 25.
The event honors former Arizona State and Arizona Cardinal standout Pat Tillman, who was killed by friendly fire in Afghanistan on April 22, 2004.
Pat’s Run is the signature fundraising event which supports the Pat Tillman Foundation’s Tillman Scholars program.
