HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — George Kliavkoff made his public debut as new Pac-12 commissioner as the conference held Media Day festivities Tuesday at the W Hotel in Hollywood.
This was the first official media day in two years, with last year's not held due to the widespread pandemic that resulted in a late start to a then-shortened season.
There was no shortage of topics with the former MGM entertainment properties executive asked about everything from possible conference expansion and name, image and likeness issues to the college football playoff.
The recent announcement in the intended moves of Texas and Oklahoma from the Big 12 to the SEC has prompted a lot of discussion of conference realignment and the potential of the Pac-12 to add teams but that talk is premature.
