A year ago, the Arizona State basketball team traveled to Omaha, Neb., and defeated Creighton with a late comeback and key steal from junior guard Tra Holder. This Creighton team is different. This Creighton team is a Final Four contender.
The high-scoring Bluejays are unbeaten and ranked ninth nationally. On Tuesday night, they'll become the highest-ranked non-conference opponent to enter Wells Fargo Arena since No. 7 Ohio State in 1980. The Sun Devils (6-5) already have faced tough opponents this year in Kentucky and Purdue.
Creighton is just the next in line.
"They're an exciting opponent, one of the best offensive teams in the country," ASU coach Bobby Hurley said.
