NCAA ruling could clear way for voluntary workouts at Pac-12 schools in June

A decision by the NCAA to allow voluntary workouts on campus in three sports starting June 1 could clear the way for such activity at Pac-12 schools.

Pac-12 presidents could vote at a meeting next week to permit such workouts in football, men's basketball and women's basketball contingent on state and campus guidelines for coronavirus protection. On-campus athlete workouts at Pac-12 schools currently are not allowed through May 31.

The NCAA Division I Council voted Wednesday to allow voluntary workouts from June 1-30 with strength coaches but not on-field coaches. That decision was first reported by Yahoo Sports.
