The Sun Devil men's golf team is tied for first with host SMU after the first round of Trinity Forest Invitational held at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas.
SMU and ASU both shot 5-under 279, while UC Davis is third at 3-under 281. Sun Devil senior Alex del Rey leads the individual race at 4-under 67, while Blake Wagoner is tied for ninth at 1-under 70. ASU, winners of five of its past nine tournaments, also has Cameron Sisk, who won Maui Jim medalist honors, freshman Ryggs Johnston and junior Mason Andersen competing.
