TEMPE, Ariz. — After becoming the fastest 400 IMer in NCAA history on January 21, sophomore sensation Léon Marchand has been named the Pac-12 Men's Swimmer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Marchand won each of the six individual events he raced in throughout the No. 1 Sun Devil Men's victories over No. 12 Stanford and No. 2 Cal, highlighted by his record-setting time of 3:31.84 in the 400 IM. The Toulouse, France, native is now a perfect 19-for-19 in individual events raced in this season. He was also a member of both winning 200 medley relays against the Cardinal and Golden Bears.
