ATLANTA – In the final 500 free of their Sun Devil careers, Erica Laning and Emma Nordin each earned top-15 finishes on Day 2 of the NCAA Championships at the McAuley Aquatic Center.
Laning placed 13th with a time of 4:38.90, shedding nearly two seconds off her mark in the preliminaries this morning (4:40.70). Nordin was close behind, coming in at 14th place with a time of 4:39.17.
The two teamed up to earn seven points for the Sun Devils on Thursday evening.
It is fitting that Laning and Nordin, both redshirt seniors, concluded their final 500 free races of their Sun Devil careers alongside each other.
