Arizona State coach Herm Edwards is known for his calm, collected demeanor on the sideline, but there is one time when he admits to getting more animated than what his players are used to seeing. That is when his quarterback starts running around outside the pocket.

Edwards knows the valuable commodity he has in true freshman quarterback Jayden Daniels, the No. 2 dual-threat in the country when the Sun Devils signed him out of Cajon High School in San Bernardino, Calif.

Or Edwards be nervous because he has seen a handful of quarterbacks in the Pac-12 already go down with injuries, including California sophomore Chase Garbers who is out indefinitely after sustaining a shoulder injury after a hard fall on the visitors sideline in the second quarter against the Sun Devils.
