NORMAN, Okla. – Sun Devil Senior captain Jared du Toit was named a finalist for the prestigious Byron Nelson Award, in an announcement made by the Golf Coaches Association of America Wednesday afternoon.
"Jared's being named a finalist for the Byron Nelson Award speaks to the type of all-around person and athlete he is," said Arizona State head men's golf coach Matt Thurmond. "He is a great golfer for sure, but he is also an exceptional student and person."
The award which is presented by Cleveland Golf/Srixon in conjunction with Four Seasons and Club Las Colinas and the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, is presented annually to a graduating senior who has displayed to the selection committee an exemplary entire collegiate academic and golf career as well as displayed good character and integrity while in college.
