How ASU's Westerman became an athletic 'freak'

Nick Kelly arrived at Arizona State around the same time as Christian Westerman. It didn't take him long to realize the obvious.

"Christian moves weight like it's nothing," said Kelly, ASU's two-year starting center. "I don't know how he does it. His hands are the size of freaking baseball mitts. They're huge. He's a very strong, very powerful kid. He's just a natural freak."

Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports thinks so, too. Each summer, Feldman compiles a list of college football's top athletic "freaks," those whose physical gifts defy explanation. Although Feldman has yet to release this year's freaks list, he recently posted a video of Westerman bench-pressing 315 pounds 20 times.
