Hockey's Wilson Issued Suspension by WCHA

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Sun Devil Hockey sophomore defenseman Jacob Wilson has been assigned a two-game suspension by the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA). In addition to his automatic one-game suspension for the disqualification, the WCHA, who oversees supplemental discipline for the independent program, assigned an additional one-game suspension.

The suspension is a result of Wilson's five-minute major and game disqualification penalty for contact to the head on Saturday night at Minnesota.

"The whole situation is unfortunate," said head coach Greg Powers. "Jacob is a clean hockey player and plays the game the right way.
