TEMPE, AZ – Sun Devil Hockey (2-4-0) was unable to pick up a series sweep in Mullett Arena's opening weekend in the 0-4 loss after a slow start against Colgate (1-3-0). The Sun Devils ultimately lost the shot battle 30-42 and were unable to capitalize on power play opportunities for the second straight night.
Head coach Greg Powers talked about the struggles tonight and gave credit to Colgate on their adjustments.
"They defended a little bit harder. But at the end of the day, there were no big adjustments. They always had five back. They played a really good game and they deserved the win," said Powers.
