Herm Edwards addresses racial slur incident involving ASU football players in Tempe

Arizona State football coach Herm Edwards discussed the incident involving a racial slur directed at some of his football players while on ESPN's Golic & Wingo on Thursday.

Last month, ASU's Jordan Clark, Nolan Matthews and T Lee, all Black athletes, posted on social media about being called a racial slur at the Whataburger near ASU's Tempe campus.

The players were unable to purchase food inside the restaurant due to coronavirus restrictions. They asked a woman in the drive thru line if she would buy food for them using their money. According to the players, she said no because she was in a hurry so they asked another customer, who agreed to help them.
