TEMPE – Led by a strong showing from senior Hannah Scharf, Gold edged out Maroon 117.175 to 114.350 in No. 24 Sun Devil Gymnastics' annual Maroon and Gold intrasquad meet on Monday night.
Scharf won the all-around, hitting all four routines and earning the highest vault, bars and floor scores of the night with a 9.875, 9.800 and 9.775, respectively. The Gold team also saw freshman Kayla Lee competing in Desert Financial Arena for the first time, hitting her routines on bars, beam and floor, her best score on beam with a 9.
