Kyle Williams doesn’t know where all this will lead. The only thing he knows – the message on repeat in his mind – is that he’s not ready to give in. Not yet. He’s convinced there’s still football left in his 27-year-old body.
He just needs an opportunity to prove as much.
Williams, a local product out of Arizona State and Scottsdale Chaparral High, has an injury rap sheet of sorts. Two anterior-cruciate ligament injuries, a collarbone issue and an Achilles tendon rupture, all on the left side. As he looks for work, this might be the biggest challenge he’s faced, a final hurdle in a roller-coaster career.
