SAN FRANCISCO– Sun Devil softball placed eight student-athletes on the Pac-12 All-Conference team announced by the league office Wednesday morning. The list includes breakout freshman Cydney Sanders earning Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and head coach Trisha Ford earning her second Pac-12 Coach of the Year award, her first since 2018. It's also the first time since 2012 that Sun Devil Softball has had four players on the All-Conference First-Team. The individual awards and the All-Pac-12 Softball Team are selected by Pac-12 head coaches.
Sanders, is the fourth Sun Devil to win the Pac-12/10 Freshman of the year award, the first time since 2011 when Dallas Escobedo won the honor.
