Hard to believe, but Pac-12 football media days unfold July 14-15 in Hollywood.
That means it's time to form some sort of pecking order for this season's conference race.
This is my sixth year voting in the preseason media poll, and in my opinion, it’s the toughest to predict. On paper, there are no clear-cut favorites, a reason many publications have left the Pac-12 out of the preseason four-team playoff conversation.
Much of this stems from the quarterback position. The Pac-12 is a little unstable here. Half the conference – including Stanford, Oregon, USC and Arizona State – will trot out first-year starters.
