WOLCOTT, Colo. - Despite entering the final round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge in the top five, women's golf head coach Missy Farr-Kaye expected more from her ladies after a 17-over 305 on day two.
Farr-Kaye asked for more and she received, as the Sun Devils shot a combined nine-under par 279 -- the second-lowest team score of the entire three-day, 17-team tournament -- to move up two spots for a third-place finish.
"I am very happy and proud of this resilience in this young ASU women's golf team today," Farr-Kaye said. "They went out and played with heart and came back fighting after having two disappointing days.
