ST. LOUIS – Two-time Pac-12 Champion and two-time All-American Brandon Courtney (125) will headline the first lightweight NCAA DI Wrestling Championship on Saturday night at 4 pm MST on ESPN at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Mo.
Courtney looks to become the first Sun Devil wrestler to win a National title since Zahid Valencia at the 2019 NCAA DI Wrestling Championships in Pittsburgh. His opponent, No. 1 Spencer Lee (Iowa) has won the last two 125 Championships.
"I'm excited for Brandon Courtney. He's competing for the National Championship tomorrow and it's something to dream about and many people never get to do," head coach Zeke Jones said.
