During the 24-19 victory of Arizona State over Iowa State on November 1, 2025, tight end Chamon Metayer gave one of the most important offensive contributions of the game, which stabilized the passing game and made the game-winning touchdown, shifting the momentum of the game entirely in the direction of the Sun Devils.
Metayer finished as ASU’s leading receiver, recording six receptions for 68 yards and one touchdown. The greatest moment was later in the second quarter when the game was at a draw of 10-10.
Metayer made room in the middle of the field, and on a 56-yard, 8 drive, he caught an 18-yard touchdown pass to make Arizona State score 17-10.
