The Sun Devil men's golf team opened its 2021-22 season at a tough course and held its own behind the steady play of the experienced duo Mason Andersen and Cameron Sisk on Monday at the Maridoe Collegiate Invitational.

Sisk, a two-time All-American, is at 2-under 70 on the 7,351-yard Maridoe Golf Club after firing a tournament-best seven birdies and is tied for second. He is two shots back of Liberty's Connor Polender, who leads the field at 4-under 68.
