Five Arizona State football players had taken their places at the podium in the media interview room, moments after the No. 24 Sun Devils secured yet another close victory, this one 38-34 over visiting Washington State.
Just as the players were about to start fielding questions, junior wide receiver Frank Darby burst into the room with fellow receiver Kyle Williams in tow. Darby couldn't contain himself, letting out a couple of yells and a contagious laugh that has become his trademark. He urged his teammates to hurry back to the locker room so the celebration could continue.
