After last week's exposure to Jeff Lebby's "Veer and Shoot" offense, the Sun Devils will be facing a very similar style of offense against the Texas State Bobcats.
A product of the Gus Malzahn coaching tree, G.J. Kinne's offense makes heavy use of the hurry up offense that Malzahn became known for. Pre-snap motion and RPOs are hallmarks of the Bobcats offense. The offensive playbook is pass heavy, but is creative enough to allow for a balanced attack by working in play action passing as well as inside zone and counter runs.
Much like Mississippi State's offense, Texas State runs a quarterback centric offense with Brad Jackson playing the role of a point guard to direct motion based on what he sees in the defense.
