PHOENIX - Sun Devil Baseball (13-14, 5-6) weathered a late surge from California (15-9, 5-6) to secure the conference series victory with a 10-9 win at Phoenix Municipal Stadium on Friday night.
In a game that saw four lead changes, Arizona State looked to have a comfortable lead heading into the ninth inning, up 10-5. For the second straight night, Cal was able to mount a four-run effort in their last inning, but came up just short after made sure he got in front of a groundball and made the throw to first to call game.
