Halfway through his college career at Arizona State, Chun An Yu will get a first-hand look at what he expects to be his future this week.
Yu, from Chinese Taipei, will compete at the U.S. Open after winning a 36-hole sectional qualifier.
The 19-year-old will make his first appearance in a pro golf major tournament, joining a half dozen former Sun Devils, including Phil Mickelson and Jon Rahm, at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, N.Y.
"It's kind of like a dream come true," Yu said. "It's my first major and obviously I want to do well.
