SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.—Arizona State wrestling’s All-American Blake Stauffer became the 24th Sun Devil in program history to reach the 100 win milestone on Saturday night with a 16-3 major decision over Cal Poly’s Mitchell Woods at the Mott Athletics Center.
The four team points helped ASU (11-7, 2-2 Pac-12) to a 24-12 victory over the Mustangs (2-9, 0-4 Pac-12), with the Sun Devils taking seven of the 10 bouts.
42 of Stauffer’s 100 victories came in the form of bonus-point wins, with 21 major decisions, 13 tech falls, and eight pins. Stauffer has never given up bonus points in his Sun Devil career.
