Arizona State (19-10, 10-7 Pac-12) took on a red-hot No. 8 Oregon team (26-4, 15-2 Pac-12) who defeated the Sun Devils 57-44 in Tempe Friday night.
“They did everything we expected them to do,” said ASU head coach Charli Turner Thorne.
“They’re a long and lengthy team,” said ASU junior forward Kianna Ibis, “They switched everything and we just made them look a lot better.”
Arizona State finished the first quarter leading Oregon, 12-8. ASU was running early and running fast. The Sun Devils’ defense was also on display early as they limited Oregon to 27 percent on their first 19 shots of the game.
