In a relaxed and joyous atmosphere at Wells Fargo Arena, the Arizona Sun Devils (4-2) rolled over Boston University (1-5) in a 71-42 win.
Though students and fans relished the 29-point victory, Sun Devil head coach Charli Turner Thorne and her players weren’t satisfied with the win. Despite leading 36-19 at the end of the first half, Turner Thorne mentioned the Sun Devils needed “to be better offensively” during an interview displayed on the arena’s video board.
“We were holding the ball. We weren’t cutting hard and playing fast without the ball in our hands… We weren’t executing,” Turner Thorne said.
